New to the Blog?

Welcome!  Hopefully, you've come here with some sort of question falling under the category: "what is a Mormon?"  If not, you've got a bit of time on your hands, may as well find out.  So, what is a Mormon?

Well, to begin with, I'm a Mormon.  In fact, I'm a Mormon missionary.

I think that means that we have a market situation here.  I want you to ask me questions about my beliefs, and you have questions about my beliefs.  If you are so inclined, I would love if you asked those questions.  There is nothing that I would rather do than answer them and help you find out why us Mormons do what we do.  Plus, it gives me something to write about, you know?

So, you've found the Blog, clicked on the newby button, and I still haven't answered your question.  I'm getting there, don't worry.  You have quite a few options, actually.  If you know nothing about Mormons, you may want to start at the beginning.  What are our basic beliefs?  Well, there is a church document called the Articles of Faith that explains just that.  I've even written up a basic explanation of these tenants here on this blog.  If you'd like to see what I have to say about the Articles of Faith, check out the tab at the top of this page, appropriately named "Articles of Faith."

On the other hand, you might be here with something specific that's been on your mind.  Make sure to look through previous blog posts, as your question may have already been addressed.  Posts are titled by question and tagged according to topic, so take a look at the tags widget as well.  If all else fails, you'll just have to ask the question yourself.  Click the "Email your Question" tab and ask away.

Are you a member already?  Ask a question anyways!  I've found over the years that even members come across questions concerning our basic beliefs.  Also, check out my other blog about member missionary work.

Whether you're a member or just someone looking for an answer, I sincerely hope that this blog helps you on your search.
